I love a jet-on-a-stick. Here is downtown Goldsboro’s North American F-86 Sabre. America’s first swept-wing jet, nearly 8,000 were made 1949-1956. It was our most important aircraft during the Korean War. This one bears the name of James “Jabba” Jabara, the first American jet ace in history. He eventually scored 15 victories, giving him the title of "triple ace". Jabara was ranked as the second-highest-scoring U.S. ace of the Korean War.
