The Long Shove
There’s no place on The Branch to turn a train around. It can only be done on the ends in Belhaven and Pinetown where there is runaround siding or wye respectively. So when they finished their run on this day in Bishops Cross near Pantego they were faced with a choice of proceeding to Belhaven to do a runaround or shove the train all the way back to Pinetown.
